Malaysia // Stronger entry restrictions to contain variants

Malaysian authorities have announced stricter entry restrictions to contain entry of Covid-19 variants in the country:

  • quarantine extended from 7/10 days to 14 days for travelers coming from South Africa, the United Kingdom, Brazil and Japan. Other requirements such as negative PCR test remain unchanged.
  • applicable 28 April : entry ban for travelers from India, except Malaysian citizens & family and Malaysian religious groups returning home from India. Those only exceptions will be allowed in but with a 14-day quarantine.
