Malaysia // Quarantine exemption for vaccinated travellers?

Now more and more people are getting vaccinated against Covid-19, it is legitimate to raise the question of whether quarantine is still needed for vaccinated travellers when crossing borders and landing in another country. Some countries have already announced full quarantine exemption on this basis, but most haven’t.

ff

Malaysian authorities have started considering exemption applications based on vaccination. Although residual for now (from 1 Jan 20021 – 27 March 2021, only 409 out of 2,743 applications for quarantine exemptions were approved, all reasons together) it is to be expected that more and more travellers will claim possibility travel in and out without quarantine requirements, shall they be able to prove they are fully vaccinated.
